The Mortensen Math, also known as Mortensen More Than Math, Quarter Tray was the most compact variant of the Combo Kit. This kit was designed to support learning in the four fundamental operations with whole numbers and decimals: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It also offered tools for introductory work on square numbers and square roots. The kit featured two unique configurations of color-coded components. The first configuration contained 1 whole unit (green), 10 tenths of units (blue), and 25 hundredths of units (red). The second configuration contained 1 hundred (red), 10 tens (blue), and 2 green ones, 2 orange twos, 2 pink threes, 2 yellow fours, and 2 light blue fives. This array provided a highly visual and tactile method for exploring and understanding numerical concepts.
